PRINTS

In recent years I’ve used many print making techniques for design bindings, and making these prints are, for me, a way-in to forming the design of a book. I made my first relief print from a stump in 2017 for Leonard Baskin's Florilegium to great affect, and in looking for a way into another recent design binding found myself printing more. Each relief print from a stump is done by hand not a press so they can be a little labour intensive, and between each there may be changes in the inking, pressure or dampness of the paper, so they are all really one-offs. The prints are titled, numbered, signed and dated, and the editions will probably be limited.
