DESIGN

Over years of creating one of a kind art objects, books, and boxes I use many traditional and new techniques. From the usual leather inlays and onlays, surface gilding, suminagashi and hot tooling, to more modern techniques such as printing, photo-transfer, paper lithography, airbrushing, craquele and other dyeing methods. I have also been using and teaching a unique and professional art-deco method for making egg-shell panels for use in books and boxes, and other objects which people love to learn.  As much as you know or learn, there is always more to discover, and I continue to push myself to learn new techniques and use new materials in making custom books and boxes.  While I would say that a lot of my day-to-day design work reflects a certain pop culture influence, the more you know the more you can express.
